Natural Cockles from Galicia. Cockles, or as they are called in Spanish “Berberechos” are canned in salted water. They are commonly eaten as is or sauteed with garlic and white wine. These beautiful little cockles are one of the most sought-after mollusks from the sandbanks of the Galician rivers. They are small and firm in texture, and taste of the sea. They are also both high in calcium and iron.
