“Straight Furrow” Chickpeas 400g – Perle della Tuscia

In Alta Tuscia, the cultivation of this small, tasty and crunchy chickpea is linked to the peasant tradition of the Tiratura del solco dritto’ (pulling of the straight furrow): on 14 August, a furrow is pulled with a plough in the plain below the village of Valentano and, based on the trend, farmers draw predictions on the next harvest.
